After 3 weeks on the Sertraline and im still really nauseous first thing in a morning it wears off throughout the day but just have that wishy washy gurgling feeling for most of the morning.Is it anxiety or still the side effects of the meds i would thought they would have mostly gone by now 😔
I have been having side affects and I’ve only been on it 2 days. Last night I had to phone 111 as I thought I was having a heart attack. Dull chest pain and tingling in my arms and panick but the doctor told me on the phone these tablets can make you feel like that I just want to feel like me again
Hi Jasmine yes unfortunately they can make you feel like that the meds can raise your anxiety at first which isnt useful when you're already anxious but i had the same for the first week and a half hang in there sweet xx
Thank you very much for replying. It’s so nice to know I’m not alone❤️ I guess I will just have to take things step by step and make a journal of the way I feel and the times it comes on so I can prepare myself for the next time. We can beat this! Xx
Yep baby steps i was taking it hour by hour ☺ and unfortunately its a slow process and its felt like the longest 3weeks of my life but compared to where i was before Christmas iv actually come a long way☺ i did a journal and when i look bk over the last few weeks im defo improving xx
I’ve just ordered a journal thought that might help! Also an adult colouring book thought it might help me focus. Tbh I have been so down in the dumps but today is the first day I’ve actually got up and told myself I can do this. Managed to clean the house. I know I’ve only been on the medication 3 days but I think I have given myself a little kick which I needed. My doctor has also referred me to well-being and I’m waiting for a call back about therapy. Stay in touch it’s really good to know I’m not alone xx
I got a colouring book too haven't used it yet as iv still not quite got the concentration back yet i like to read and havent picked up a book in weeks but i just started one yesterday so heres hoping ☺ i think iv been that wrapped up in how bad iv been feeling with the side effects iv missed the little changes along the way 💜💜

Yes iv had that it was the main symptom of my anxiety/panic attacks 20 years ago when i had my very first episodes xx
What about when you started on the meds did you have like a water like feeling in your chest? It’s weird to explain but it’s cold xx

Dont worry ask away hmmm not had that mine is hot when i get it or sometimes it feels like someone is standing on it, there is also a Sertraline group on here you could post on there see if anyone else has experienced it xxx
Tbh it may be heartburn as I do suffer with acid reflux as well! Xxz
Could be i have acid reflux and IBS and the Sertraline are playing merry hell with them either way i think its either a side effect or anxiety xxx

I have acid reflux caused by gastritis i take omeprazole twice a day usually im ok but the Sertraline are playing merry hell with it hoping it will pass xxx
I think I need to speak with my gp about going on something for it as I feel it’s what’s making me anxious along with my blocked ears which are causing vertigo. I’ve literally had enough now I want to be back to normal lol xxx
