Well, I've just had an ultrasound confirming I have a 7cm cyst on my right ovary. The problem is, they just want to wait for six weeks, and then do another scan. As well as other symptoms, such as pain, I feel extremely tired a lot of the time, and when I went to the GP, he said it could be a symptom of an ovarian cyst, which is why I had the scan in the first place. However the doctor who performed the scan said that ovarian cysts don't cause tiredness. I wanted to know if anyone else who has suffered an ovarian cyst had fatigue as a symptom, because I have really important exams starting in four weeks time, and I would like to go to the exam board asking for some leniency. However with the doctor saying ovarian cysts don't cause tiredness I really don't know what to do! Any advice would be really appreciated!!
A common cause of tiredness / fatigue / lethargy like this is Anaemia (Iron Deficiency). Your GP can arrange for a simple blood test if you haven't already had one
I suffered with fatigue and agony, I ended up going to A&E as it got so bad, I then found out I had an Ovariun Cyst, they told me to wait like they have told you to do and after another scan they saw it had not shrunk at all so I had a laporoscopy and that is were they found out that I had Endometrosis which can cause a lot of pain and fatigue you might want to mention it to your doctor to see what they suggest.
