hi.

i suggest you yo see your gp and ask ifcthey can give you a few 2mg. have you been off them long and did you stop gradually or taper down off them?

Look up the Ashton manual and all you need to know is in there.You need to get back on ,get stabilized and taper off as told in that manual. I was taken off in 4 days 26 months ago and am still unable to function.its horrible.

Thanks I was taken off them last week and feel horrible I was on 10mgs then put on 5mgs now on nothing it's well bad I feel terrible what's Ashton? Thanks

Hi I'm new to joining in on any of these sites but I have MS and have recently gone through what I think your going through now and it sucks!!!! What do you mean by shocking ? And what is your situation with your meds and Dr???? Drs are not my favorite people right now !!!!sorry for all the questions but I'm just trying to see if there's anything that I can say that might help you !!!

Meaning I feel very weak etc from been taken off them and my doctor just said that it's time to stop them when I wouldn't say I was ready too :-(

Are you on anything now? It takes weeks even months to taper off! My MS specialists took me off cold turkey and I had no idea what was going to happen ! I hope I'm wrong but I'm afraid you are going to get much,much worse without any, you will have to taper off and that takes awhile you will need to keep halving your dose at least every two weeks or a month ! And you will probely need a psychiatrist to help you! Since they are the ones that prescribe those type of meds now ! I have a new neurologist that has helped me out but I still have to go to a psychiatrist for 2 of my meds! After all the crap I had to go through they ended up putting me back in the same ones it's been months and I'm still not back to where I was! Again I am so sorry you are having to go through this and if things get worse I will try to let you know what to expect. God bless and I hope you are able to get some sleep.

Thank you very much for the info yes I think I'm going to go back and not leave till they give me some more as I cannot sleep at all and feel very weak

the Ashton manual is the bible for anyone on or that stopped a benzo,you can get it online or buy one. Proffeśor Ashton did a 10 year study and is the recognized expert.,All things benzo.

Hi again yes it's a good idea because you are probley not going to be able to sleep I was awake about 60 hours before I passed out for an hour or so. I don't want to scare you but this is a very dangerous and unnesessery thing your going through please make sure that you are not alone because you probley not be able to take care of yourself I'm praying that yours won't be as bad as I was since it made my MS act up worse! I'm hopeing you will find a decent Dr. Take care and let me know how you are doing!

I am myself a victim but now drug free for almost 2 years.

You should not stop cold turkey. They need to be tapered.

I doubt that you will find a doctor that knows about withdrawing from benzos.

It is doable but takes time. Good luck
