Okay heres the story, Im 4-5 weeks out of rehab for abuse of street xanax, and i have been on xannax for 3-6 months maybe a little bit longer. And i also used crystal. Im clean now and im 19. The first 2 weeks out of rehab i felt great? Then all the sudden my anxiety hit me out of no where. I wake up every morning with my heart pounding and mind racing. I have 2-4 panic attacks a day along with non stop anxitey. I also cant sleep anymore. Im feeling more and more ill everyday. Im so exhaused and my body is shutting down, i can feel the bags under my eyes, I have no idea what triggers my anxiety. i just want to feel normal again and go back to work. Any suggetions?
Hi Jake, I'm glad to hear you're clean and sticking with it. Sounds like you're experiencing withdrawal. The crash you can experience in xanax can be rather harsh. I was only on it for two days and a few days later I started having severe panic attacks. I had to see a psychiatrist for help. Is that an option for you? You can try taking supplements like magnesium. It's supposed to help calm the nerves but there are two different kinds so get the one for nerves. I hear melatonin can help with sleep. But you should get lab work done to make sure your organs can handle these supplements. Go over this with your doctor. Also breathing exercises do help. Here is a site I found with great tips.

Hi there, it sounds like your going through a rough time now your clean. My suggestion is you need to go see your GP and seek professional help, similar to your rehab but specific for anxiety and I guess depression may be playing a part.
Youve done brilliantly to get clean but it sounds like your body is still healing and is struggling and you need continued support.
Anxiety is so exhaustive and does mess your sleep up especially if your experiencing anxiety attacks but your body is not shutting down as anxiety and anxiety attacks are totally harmless.
Your anxiety doesn't necessarily have to have a trigger it can be a subconscious trigger or a physiological trigger and given your previous addiction is likely to be physiological either way if you get the help you need whether it be SSRI antidepressants, CBT, Councelling you will get to feel normal again and get back to work.
Its the next stage of your full recovery and one which you will succeed with given the strength you needed to go through rehab and get clean.
I wish you well with this journey and hope you check back with me and us all with how you get on as if things get tough you've got a community of help to give you support and encouragement, feel free to PM me if you need it.
One last thing, after about 2 weeks out of rehab i also got this weird feeling as in, everything around me was fake, and i didnt seem real. It was really scary i still feel like that. Why is this perhaps? Its really hard to get by
Almost feels like im high on weed 24/7
Hi Jake, what you are describng sound like depersonalization.
Google it and you will understand.
All the best
My anxiety has gotten alot better, still struggling with the fake feeling, as in im not into reality. Does anyone know if this feeling will go away?
