Need help. Crying myself to sleep every night because of MS fear

I really need help. I'm terrified.

Awhile back I had some slight vision issues. Then I got sick with a virus when it was pretty bad recently with the outbreak.

I was told I just have a nose problem and bronchitis.

So I ignored it.

I got my eyes checked and the doctor said I'm probably having ocular migraines.

Then I was getting pain and nerve jumping everywhere, so I started getting scared and wondering if I had a blood clot. The doctor did a scan of my lower and upper back and they found spasms. She told me it would be fine.

But I keep having issues with tingling, choking, cramping, etc.

I'm so scared I keep crying myself to sleep every single night.

I'm getting physical therapy soon and I'm going to anger them with questions.

I thought maybe everything would be fine but I have so many symtoms similar to MS. even hot flashes which my mom swears is part of my PMDD.

I was fine after my friend explained how I really don't have MS. But then I got face tingling and itching on my face which hasn't gone away. I have spams on my neck and back but I don't think they would cause this.

Everything is pointing to MS.

My parents swear it's fine because I've had a scan of my head, scan of my lower and upper back, two blood tests, urine test, and a scan of my stomach (from the lungs down) but I can't help being terrified.

I know I could just be having migraine issues and pain from my spasms but I'm afarid the spasms were caused by MS.

I know I wouldn't die if it was ms but I still could *maybe* which is the worst part to me.

Please help me guys

If you had an MRI of your head and it was normal then you do not have MS. The MRI would show MS. I had the same concern many years ago  and was convinced I had MS.  I had most of your symptoms. I did not have MS  after having an MRI of the head.

Your symptoms of tingling, vision issues  and nerve jumping are very common with anxiety.  I get those all the time when I am anxious.

I understand that you are scared  but you have to remember that Your negative thoughts and fear are not based in fact. They are not based on reality but only based on fear.  The reason many people with anxiety think they have MS is because anxiety tends to affect the nervous system, so we see symptoms of the nervous system such as tingling and muscle twitching. Even the nerves in the eyes can be affected by anxiety.  Nerves anywhere on the body can be affected by anxiety.

I really don’t think you have MS however most people with that condition tend to live out a normal lifespan.

work on your anxiety to see if your symptoms diminish. Listen to some great audio meditations on YouTube for anxiety.   There’s also some good breathing meditation’s to help you regain control over anxiety. The worst thing you can do is sit around and think about all of this because it will make your symptoms worse.

Think about what things in your life are creating anxiety. Speaking with the counselor can be very helpful. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you hun smile
