Need help.... Please answer

I have had HSV-2 for 2 years including my fiancé.. and want me to give him oral sex, but yet he don't know the consequences of what will happen due to an outbreak on out mouth... ive convinced him that it's a bad idea. What should I do? What if I actually risk it and have oral sex with him? How can I prevent my outbreaks? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

If you both have confirmed genital HSV2, then you both should be immune from getting it elsewhere. Oral sex should be fine. Also, HSV2 does not prefer the mouth. If you are still worried, avoid giving oral sex while your partner has an outbreak, just as an added precaution.

Will I occur an outbreak IF I give oral sex without genital outbreaks??

Do you definitely have genital HSV2?? How were you tested/diagnosed? If you do definitely have it and have had it for two years, then you should not get it orally, and if you don't get it orally, you can't get outbreaks there. Oral HSV2 rarely causes outbreaks for most people, anyway.

Yes I was positive two years ago, I'm currently pregnant will I be able to kiss my child?

If your infection is genital only and if you are immune from getting it elsewhere, as should be the case, then of course you can kiss your child. Kissing on the cheek does not tend to spread herpes anyway, not even HSV1. Avoid kissing your child on the lips if you are so concerned.

What about breast feeding my boyfriend sucks on my breast will I be able to breast feed?

Lol, of course adult "breastfeeding" is fine. HSV is not blood or fluid based and you have not said that you get lesions on your breasts, so there is no problem for him, plus if you have HSV2 you should be immune to any type of HSV infection elsewhere, as already explained, so no problem for you. Same applies to him if he also has HSV2.

You must be a doctor because my doctor said the same exact thing today

Actually, I'm not! But I have read widely on the subject, including research studies and HSV expert Q&A forums, and been answering questions on here for over a year, plus I have it myself (hence my avid research and quest to find answers to everything for my own knowledge and self-assurance!). Glad I was able to help.

So since i have oral herpes, when my child comes along my boyfriend wants to pre-chew her food is that a good idea or will she have the oral herpes transmission?

It is not a good idea to pre-chew food regardless, as a person's mouth can carry other viruses or bacteria. I have never heard of this practice, incidentally, but it does not sound hygienic at all.

Thank you
