This is my first outbreak as hsv2, and the doctor started acyclovir and mupirocin cream. What I see is now that’s those white pearly lesions are turning brown in the middle and it’s itchy. While I am on the meds, can new lesions appear? How’s long the whole process last? My lesions appeared around 11th or 12th of this month. And should I confront my partner? Maybe he has it and doesn’t know about it? Should I tell him?
Yes definitely tell him he deserves to know
Yes, he should know. Because he may have it and not know about it.
Sorry to hear that. It's surprisingly common though, and you do need to tell your partner.
These links have more information about herpes, though the second link is written for doctors:

There is also a genital herpes forum on this site:

Thank you for the links you have shared. You said I don’t need to tell him, but I got it from him. So either he didn’t bother to tell me OR he doesn’t know.
I said you do need to tell him.
Maybe I should have put a "but" in my second sentence instead of an "and".
Both men and women can go for months or even years without showing symptoms btw, so it's not always possible to say when anyone got infected or from whom. It's definitely possible that he has it without knowing. Sadly, it seems to be fairly common for both partners to think the other has infected them, and it isn't always possible to know for sure who got infected first.
Sorry I didn’t read it correctly and I am planning to tell him. Why i am so sure that I got it from him because i didn’t have any sexual contact in 10 years and then i met him in 2016, and since than it’s only him.
