I started on 50mg of sertraline for 2 weeks and then a 100 for 2 weeks. Then my dr bumped me up to a 150mg because I was still very depressed and anxious. She then added 150mg wellbutrin for the depression and I tried that for two weeks and make me feel crazy and have weird thoughts. So she told me to get off of it and said to go to 200mg of sertraline. I have been on that dose for 5 days. It has been a total of 7 1/2 weeks and I do not feel any relif. I feel so tense and the anxiety has created rosacea and made my anxiety way worse. I can't sleep and I'm always clenching my jaw. I look like I have been ruffed up. I have closed myself off from the world and can't take this much longer. I have been having a lot of bad thoughts. Any advice or suggestions would really help if you have had a simililar experience or some encouraging advice. I tried this med 7 years ago and it worked but do not remember the dose.
It sounds to me like the dose has been increased really fast before the side effects had tine to go, it can take a few weeks for turn to go and start to feel better
So should I decrease my dose or try to be patient? Since it’s been 5 days on 200. Should side effects start wearing off? When should I feel some relief?
I find it takes a good 2 weeks for the side effects to go, maybe longer. Every increase they come back soon wonder if you have given yourself chance to get over them before starting a new dose, which is why you have constantly been feeling rubbish.
We are in the same exact boat ! I am certainly on 150 and I feel awful at day 11 . I don’t know what to do . My dr wants me in increase to 200 and there is nooooo way !
Hi Debbie,
10 days in and on 125 mg. Feel awful like you. Hopefully the side effects (for me anxiety and a jittery feeling inside + jelly legs) will subside soon for both of us 🙌🏻 Please write a pm if you’d like us to follow on this journey.
I sent you a pm . Thank you !!!!
