Need more information

While watching TV programme Embarrasing Bodies a while ago they happened to do a case of LS , it's the only time I have ever known it to be mentioned on television. It seems that only this kind of programme feels the need to highlight the condition. I wish they would do another programme about it, I did go on o their website and asked if they could do another item about it. It's the whole reason the TV series exists to discuss the embarrassing conditions affecting sore bottoms, penises and lady private parts. Maybe if more sufferers of LS got in touch via the EB website who knows what might happen

Do you know which episode it was and if it's available to watch on YouTube or catchup?

I agree. My dermatologist has been trying for ages to get publicity about LS without success. I also think women's magazines are should talk about it as often as periods, pregnancy and menopause. More publicity would help many women get a diagnosis sooner. Maybe we should all spread the word that mirrors are not just for make up, regular checking our lady bits and picking up early changes would be a help I'm sure.

I saw the programme last year, the shows that are on telly at the moment are all repeats so it may come on again, one of the presenters on the programme suffers from L S so maybe that's why they did part of the programme about it. If you go on their website you might be able to view the episodes list and find out that way

I totally agree that LS should become more known.  And I have tried and keep trying.  But then again, I've also noticed people to be uncomfortable just listening to your story.  It will be a long haul before LS becomes as well known and easily talked about as breast cancer.  (and that one took a long time as well)

Looks like it's season 5, episode 1. But I can't find it anywhere online sad

"mirrors are not just for make up"  Thats great!! love it!! your right...

I .found it, put the link up, but it has yet to be modified.

Its Lichen Planus, you tube. search this

Erosive Lichen Planus. Embarrassing Bodies

Emis Moderator comment: I have deleted the post with the link in as we do not post these in the forums and users can use search terms to find it. Also, on checking the link it just gave a message saying "This video contains content from Channel 4, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

Grr, how annoying, looks like it's not available in the UK.
