A couple months ago I came on this site with miserable anxiety that was just beginning. I've been through so many symptoms, been diagnose with SVT, been to a million doctors, started therapy and medication, and in general been doing better. However I can't seem to get rid of the shaking and twitching. My arms and hands shake almost all day long especially when I put any kind of pressure on my arms. I'm not weaker though and my arms never give out. Sometimes my legs shake when I'm standing still but no one can see that. I also have random twitches all over my body randomly throughout the day. The shaking can be caused my the SVT according to my doctor but she's sending me to a neurologist anyway even though she "doesn't think anything is wrong." I'm terrified of going to the neurologist I just want this nightmare to be over. My appt is Friday and if he finds anything wrong with me obviously it isn't going to be good news. I wish I could normal again.
I meant meditation not medication
Check your magnessium levels. And anxiety does this. It absolutely does. GAD. So does fibromylegia but theres more symptoms to that...have you ever checked your spine? Lightly Pinched/impinged nerve or something messing around with it?
How do I get that checked? They already cleared me of fibromyalgia. I have scoliosis and I go to a chiropractor so I'm not sure if it has to do with that
💝Stress and thoughts in our minds can make us feel worse. I understand all to well that illness can cause stress. Mabe meds to help with depression and anxiety will help you feel better to take the edge off
Seeing a nuero doc is the best thing for you and will have more information for you to cope .
❤️i am vert sorry to hear you have this illness and hope that grow stronger every day mentally and physically? 💝
Your dr has reassured you though, why would you not believe them and think reassurance from strangers who have no medical qualifications? Your dr is being sensible by checking things out. If you want to return to a normal life, then take reassurance from your dr, not strangers
❤️Information is power, information doesn't always translate into knowledge but at least you have the basic facts in front of you. It is important to be aware of all the treatments available. Keep learning as much as you can to find a better understanding.😃
Mandie I know the uncertainty can be very daunting but please try to focus on thinking positively.
The diagnosis may be something quite simple that is easily treated.
Take c are and keep us all informed of the outcome.
Ask the chiropractor her opinion on that. You can even ask your gp, they can order any test to check your spine amd the gp can run a bloodtest to check magnessium levels. In terms of fibro the chiro can guide you or a rhematoid Doc. This is all sucks and you know your not aline. We all get some really weird things that happen to us. They are very real discomforts as well. They are real no one can say they arent real. It is just some of it is more from the bodies reaction to adrenaline then a defect or disease. This is a mal function and i have faith this will be figured out within the next decade. The mindset is all you have in all this to hold yourself together. Once you give in and run with the fear you know it becomes a mess.
And no matter what anyones says..this forum is for comfort. And if you feel scared or confused it helps a lot. You never know someone elses experience that might enlighten you. Many of us have ailments and anxiety comexisting and i know for myself i get moments i need support or comfort myself. It can get frustrating and upsetting. So you hang in there even when it gets scary..just tie a know and hang on.you are not alone.
Thank You for Your support & reassurance .
That helps a lot ! Donna
