Hi guys! It's been a couple of weeks since my last post. I've been doing great! Prayer and Sertraline have worked wonders for me! Tonight though, I need some encouragement. This afternoon, I began having the all too familiar chest pains that comes with Anxiety again. The pain is clearly on my left side, just under my breast, and my left shoulder blade hurts as if there's a huge knot under it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has these symptoms for the better part of the day, just out of the blue? Also, I woke up with my heart racing again. I should also point out that I've had 5 EKGs, 2 chest X-rays, blood work (complete CBC with cardiac enzymes) an echocardiogram, a stress test, and two visits with a cardiologist just to rule anything out. I guess I just sometimes worry that a problem is just now developing and if I don't go back it will worsen and become a heart attack. I should also add that I'm a well built and healthy 27 year-old female, and I've also been told I have GERD.

Hello ashd sorry to hear about ur symptoms i m suffering it from last 5 years i am now 31 year male my symptoms is heaviness inmy left chest palpitation, i burp alot i have heart burn....test i have done till now 17 ecgs,24 hour holter ecgs which result is clear 99%.. have 2 echos,endoscopy,colonscopy,complete body blood tests, cholestrol, tyroid,urine tests, stool tests, chest x rays, ultra sound multiple times nothing show any abnormalities still i have palpitation some time and also heaviness in my left side chest i m worried 2 weeks ago i go to my cardiologist and discuss he mention stress and anxiety i m not convince i sm in japan now these day i tell him to do Ct scan of my heart he say we dont have in iur clinic he reffer me to big hospital and i meet with cardiologist he mention that my previous tests are clear what i want more i say Ct scan of heart tomorrow i have cardiac Ct scan with contrast feel scared but i dont wanna go with this fear any more if there is some thing wrong i wanna know ... for u to go to cardiologist and ask for Ct scan that will make it clear hope there is nothing ... my go also mention that i have gerd and gerd has same symptoms like heart problem........the choice is urs dear what u want but best thing is Ct scan with contrast they will see all of the valves of the heart in echo they see almost but for more clerifaction Ct scan is best i have tomorrow i m scared
Hi medication is not enough to treat health anxiety you need to go back to your doctor and ask to be referred to a therapist.Your heart is fine however if you don't address the real problem you will continue to have this fear.
