Need some help with my Anxiety

I just feel like I'm not recovering in any way.

My head feels like there's pressure inside it all the time.

I constantly feel tired, dizzy and like off balance as if i was going to fall over.

When i go to the gym i feel dizzy and again, like im going to fall over.

I'm scared that I wont fully recover from it.

Also i've always been kind of unconfident and always cared what people thought of me.

Everything feels unreal.

I can't stay in a room with a few people for very long or my anxiety starts kicking in.

This is really taking over my life and I will do absolutely ANYTHING to beat this and get on with my life.

I am thinking about training to get in bodybuilding competition form, but i am being held back from the gym by my anxiety.

On the other hand, i do have some CBT therapy which i got back into tuesday, its only low intensity though. I've had it before and it didn't help as much as i wanted it to. So im going to see if i can get some more intense therapy if possible.

I also have health anxiety and always think i'm going to die or there is something seriously wrong with me.

If anyone can give me some advice or take the time to read it then i will be so grateful.

Thank you!

Corey Green

Hey Corey I have head symptoms like u describe too its not fun, are u on any medication?

Hi Corey! I too have the exact same symptoms as you! I hate It too and just want my old self back😞 I'm willing to start therapy soon as I really do not want to take the medication root!

Well i'm taking st john's wort, 7th day now, havent noticed a difference yet! haha

same as me! hate medication!

Just taking st John's wort atm, havent noticed any effects but i still hate medication, although this is natural

I know how you feel.

Hi Corey, Like you my health anxiety has taken over my life and its so debilitating although i dont get many physical symptoms but my mind is on death constantly and i struggle to concentrate. I used to be so much fun its frustrating to be like this now, have you tried one of Clare Weekes books, they are very good but i am afraid not very easy to get hold of, i also have a shot of whiskey every night to calm me down. I take Citalopram which are good but make you sleepy. The best advice i got was from my wife, anxiety is like a movie, something trying to convince you that some thing is happening when its not, if you try hard enough you can convince yourself that the 'movie' is far fetched and has no basis in reality. All the best

Keep me p

Your post is like reading about myself!! Comfort to know we're not completely on our own I guess! I have suffered for anxiety for 10 years, the past has always been social anxiety but recently it's all health related. Basically since having a complicated pregnancy, having my little boy and loosing my great nanny the anxiety has turned health related. I've been suffering the worst part of it for the last 4 months (since my nan died), I haven't felt the same since!!

Like you, I constantly feel woozy (like light headed but pressure there), pressure in left ear, pressure in sinus area and my eyes feel a strange tiredness like I could drop off to sleep any moment of the day, (although I'm not yawning my head off!!) I have trouble concentrating and taking things in!!

I just started CBT yesterday, like you again I've had it in the past for the social anxiety.  By the time I was referred and actually got an appointment I was over the worst bout so didn't take all the techniques on board. This time I'm hoping it will help.

I hope you take comfort and reassurance knowing that you basically have a twin in the anxiety world! It's comforting for me to know I've finally found someone with exactly the same symptoms as me!

Let me know if you find a miraculous cure and I'll do the same! X

Keep me posted on how it goes!

Me too we're triplets

I definitely will!

Thank you for sharing

I feel light headed right now, makes my eyes feel tired too.

I will definitely let you know if i find some cure!

I am literally at the end of my they her with Anxiety and panic disorder. My main symptoms are-

Chest pain

Lump in throat

Dizziness

Tired all of the time

Tingly arms and legs

Headaches

Plus a million others.

I have literally tried everything, CBT, acupuncture, reflexology, herbal remedies, hypnotherapy and even meds. NOTHING works. I've exhausted every avenue, read hundreds of books and articles. Yesterday I went for a dentist appt and had such a bad panic attack I was on oxygen for 2 hours and my dentist had to cancel the rest of her morning appointments. Not only is it exhausting but totally embarrassing. I have a few good days then bam, back to square 1. I think the only way forward with this is to try some new meds, as I've tried everything to do this with out but I fear I'm left with no other option right now

If you think you won't recover then that's not really helping you to recover is it? x

If you stay in that room, what is going to happen? Id say test it and see, because you might learn that nothing will come of your anxiety. It is a bark without a bite. It will scare you but it certainly will not kill you and there is nothing seriously wrong with you.

Its like a fault alarm on a house that goes off when there is nobody breaking in.

Let me ask you this:

If you are going to feel dissapointed, mad, sad that you dont  do this bodybuilding competition, how is that worse than going to the bodybuilding competition and feeling a bit of anxiety? f you;re going to feel uncomfy, you might aswel feel it doing something you want to do.

You say you will do anything to beat it. Face it. That's the best thing you can do. Face it and keep facing it. It will teach you that nothing will come of the fear and eventually the fear itself will subside
