So for the pass few weeks I was having horrible headaches. I had convinced myself it was a brain tumor and dr had me do and MRI which was perfectly fine.
I thought that I would put those wordy thoughts behind me and then a day a later a good friend of mind which seemed healthy just collapsed and died from a heart attack.
That night ironically I started feeling chest pains on my left side under my breast and middle of my chest. It's now lasted about 3 days.
Earlier in the night before I got the news, I went to one of my weekly boxing classes which involved throwing hooks and uppcits from both sides. I thought maybe it could be a pulled chest muscle that maybe causing that pain but I don't know. I have pain in my back area too which I'm pretty sure was from the class.
Bottom line, my wife and family think this is all anxiety due to the fact I wS just freaking out about my head and the fact my friend just had a heart attack. I'm not going lie, hearing about a close friend dying has terrified me, but I know the discomfort I'm feeling is not made up.
Is it a pulled chest muscle, anxiety or actually a heart issue?! Ughhh!
i'm sure you are definitely feeling the symptoms as do all people with anxiety. Losing a friend like that is devastating and that can flare up anxiety symptoms and create new ones. It's ironic that you got the chest pains after your friend passed away so chances are it's due from the grief and anxiety.
do an experiment. Listen to audio meditations on YouTube for anxiety. They totally calm me down and my symptoms typically greatly diminish or go away. If you can listen a couple times a day especially before you go to sleep. Using headphones or earbuds gives a better effect.
I like one called "mindfulness meditation for relaxation"
there are many to choose from and I believe they have one for grief also. If these calm your symptoms down after a few days then you know it's all anxiety related.
if you want peace of mind, schedule an appointment with your doctor to get things checked out. Don't be surprised if he or she doesn't find anything wrong because it sounds like anxiety to me combined with grief. I hope you feel better soon ❤️🙂
Hi you have obviously got health anxiety and the death of your friend has now got you thinking you are going to take a heart attack.Have you had treatment for anxiety as the only way to end this horrible cycle is to get the proper tools to deal with your fears.Anxiety throws up a lot of physical pain and makes you feel so ill however if you can calm the mind you will not be suffering as much physically.
