Has you Dr referred you to a rheumatologist?
No . Noticed it moving to groin now
Your rheumatologist will be able to confirm if you have Fibromyalgia.
Hope you find the answers you need. Until you don't get a diagnosis it is difficult to give advice, as other symptoms need to be ruled out.

Hi James, it sounds like you could do with being referred to a rheumatologist. Fibromyalgia is a condition diagnosed when all other tests come back negative and positive reaction to the trigger point test.

Hi James, have they done a MRI to rule out any causes to your back pain ?It is important to make sure you have no underlying "injuries" causing the pain. I know my lower back pain is nothing to do with fibro as i have a buldging disc. and I also have dequervains in my wrist once again not fibro but i have other fibro symptoms. the point I am making is even though fibro can cause you to have unexplained pain ALL pain should be checked out just in case. My dr is getting sick of me i am sure but the few times I have insisted on further investigation it has turned out to be something and there has been a fews times its proven to be no explaination for the pain like the time i was convinced i had broken a small bone in my foot but it was nothing just fibro . not that fibro is nothing cause the pain is very real for all of us.
Thankyou Currychic; yes I agree that ALL new pain should first be checked out as it may not be related to your fibro......especially now Groin pain......you say all bloods etc are OK, but have you had urine checked with an Ultrasound of Loin etc as this ?maybe kidney issues?? Bron

Hi James; is it "a bad curve"....? scolisosis.....this would not answer the question re your rib/back/groin pain.............we all have a "curvature of spine in Thoracic region", which then curves again when entering into the Lumbar region..............if Scolisosis, then "yes" this would cause pain of an arthritic type in that area, but not in the lower regions............many people have slight scoliosis of Thoracic region, and have a slight stoop due to this,.............still doesn't sound like an answer............any other symptoms that could give you an answer?........if ALL does relate to "a Fibro" diagnosis, then yes, a trip to a Rhuematologist may help?....but if not only Fibro, then a visit to an Orthopaedic Specialist.............however, the Groin Pain NEEDS to be ruled out first.......................good luck.............Bron
