i haven't actually been diagnosed with a chiari its just a supsect at the moment on a recent ct scan i had im awating a mri next week hopefully it is just stress but i am wondering can the brain fog which i am not sure is caused by a chiari or just anxiety ever go away ? i also have derelaization as well i fear all this happned before i attended a & e and i dont have a severe headache just a dulling annoying one which is taken away with neurofen i am aware anxiety causes headaches too so i was just wondering say worst case scenario is that i have this chiari malformation will the brain fog disappear as it does with anxiety ?
Mine did after surgery.
Hi Richard, my best advice to you is to try & not over think & over worry as this increases anxiety levels & the mind and body can then play tricks on us.
I have been under huge amounts of stress & have ended up in stroke clinic, only to find that actually, stress was bringing on all my symptoms! Just goes to show hey?
Try & find a calming & distracting activity to keep your mind off the things until you get your MRI results.
take care now....
I had brain fog before surgery and I am now 9 months since surgery & it has not gone away. It's just another thing we have to deal with. Worrying about it makes it worse
