In an effort to try to get relief, I started physical therapy for foot neuropathy. The therapist worked on my feet and I had to do several stretching exercises. The last exercise was bike riding for 7 minutes. Later that evening, the nerve pain in the pelvic area began to cause burning pain. The steroid ointment that usually helps is not helping. When I apply the ointment to the pelvic area, my left foot burns. Does anyone think the pelvic nerves can affect the foot nerves?
I was always told that therapy would not help !!
I get plenty of exercise and my feet and toes still hurt !!
I’m going to my neurologist the 11th for a procedure called an E M G !
I’ll let everyone know how that turns out !
Best of luck. I am scheduled for an EMG in October. Please post your experience.
EMG is a test not a treatment. You notice it happening but it is not painful.
Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). Motor neurons transmit electrical signals that cause muscles to contract. An EMG translates these signals into graphs, sounds or numerical values that a specialist interprets.
Thank you.
