Hi everyone, well I've just got back from my local antiques fair, my last drive for 6 weeks, going in 2morro for my 2nd thr, I must say I feel a bit nervous, wierd as I know exactly what to expect, but I have bad pain at the moment, and i guess i'm worried that when they look at my other hip it's gonna show that it's been compromised due to all the strain I've had to put on it because of the other hip, well I guess i'll find out 2morro I find I'm worrying about the fact that i have a different Anaesthetist this time, but the same surgeon, i know it's stupid, but i'm fretting in casr it doesn't go aswell as the first,
Over 4 THRs, I've had 3 different anaesthetists. Each of them has been wonderful. I've found them all to be very caring, encouraging me to ask questions, and very professional.
Whoever it is will have throughly familiarised themselves with your notes and have discussed your case in advance with the surgeon and probably the team.
At least you will see this new anethatist before you go down so I am sure they will have a chat with you and put your mind at rest. Anything that worries you do not hold back tell them. It is bets that way they can give you better care and look after you better.
I wish you luck for tomorrow and hope all goes well. It will so don't worry. I know you will be nervouse. It is normmal. But more so because you know what is going to happen to you. But it is for the best to get rid of that pain. x
Hi Lynne (((((((((( hugs)))))))))) I am here for you love, soon it will all be over and I'll be with you all the way. I'll be watching for your post. I am sure there will be nopthing untoward and you re worrying for nothing. Wish I lived closer I would there with you ....... Love Gill xxx
I go in on thursday for my second one too, so we will be on a simillar timme frame we can check how we go afterwards, will be nice for others waiting for their first to see and not to worry too much. Best of luck Ian.
Wishing you all the very best, Lynne. It's bound to be a nervous time but I'd encourage you not to fret - the massive odds are that you'll be SO much better after having this and the chances that you've done anything to the first one are minimal - it was done to take the strain!
We're all rooting for you. Don't worry, you'll be back and up and at' em (and on that stage belting out the songs  before you know it!
I think you might be the first 2nd THR of this group - maybe not ... There is a 2nd THR in the need future for me too ... Your post hit home for me .. and then I read the supportive replies and feel a lot better ...
To be honest, I don;t remember my anaesthesiologist - You will be fine -
It is scary and exciting at the same time ...
Good luck tomorrow - have a good night , sweetheart -
Yes - it is time and exercise which will sort this - oh and a bit of patience .
I am so frightened of dislocating my hip - I am really careful but every now and again I forget or catch it and the pain shoots and I think oh Crikey has it come out!!
