hi attended consultant 21st dec told op would be feb/march.attended educational class 8th jan.havent had a preop yet.received a voicemail from consultants secretary today for me to phone her.am now anxious could it be a date for op or a cancellation arisen.any ideas?got to wait till morning now to phone.
Sounds as if you could be offered a cancellation fingers cross that it is xx
hope thats the case as im really struggling to work.doc said hed sign me off but am too proud.
Do you get sick pay? If you do do not be afraid to take it, what do you do, your doctor wouldn't offer it unless he thought you needed it.
yes,am going to take 12 weeks when had op.i work for an orthopaedic company but cant fix myself.have saved money to cover that time.do hope it is a cancellation or at .least a date for preop.

Sounds like it could be a cancellation. I got offered a cancellation by phone and spoke to the consultant's secretary but it was 2 days after my husband broke his ankle and had to refuse as we could not both be on crutches. I waited an entire year for my op but I am in Wales and had to go into England for the op.
great news phoned consultants secretary and been offered an operation date of 17th feb.so all being well will be going for preop soon.just hope junior doc stikes dont affect it.
