Hi. I've been on Enbrel injections for two yrs but have now been transferred to the generic Benepali injections as I understand they are the same but 47% cheaper. They are slightly different in that there isn't a button...just press into skin. Also have to wait for two clicks in skin and then ANOTHER 15 secs...ouch. I was just wondering if anyone else had experience of the new pens and whether they hurt more or less than the old ones.....please say less!!!
Thank you.
Deborah
How was, and now is your immune system ...???
Hi there. I had two urinary tract infections within first two months. I've had no more colds and other viruses than normal (I'm a teacher and exposed to a lot!). One thing I have noticed is that when I do get a cold it always follows onto my chest which leaves me coughing for a few wks. It wasn't like that pre enbrel days.
All been worth it for the pain relief....altho I have noticed it not working quite as well of late. A friend at the clinic only managed 2-3 yrs then had to move onto infusions.....will just have you see how it goes.
I am also on Embrel and was told on my last visit to the consultant that I will be changed overy to this new injection when my srock run out
I was told the same that it was cheaper
This is fine but hope there will be no different side effects
I was told that it cost £280.00 per injection and have been on it for 5 years now which will be a big saving for the NHS / PCT
Keep us us informed how you manage
Will let you know after I have the jab tonight.
