New brand need help please

Hi thanks for taking time to look at my post. Well I have just got back from the chemist and I have a new brand of sertraline. Now I’m just a bit worried about taking them. Because people say they make you worst. And at this moment I time. Im going through my first blip. Been going on for about a week.. Just need a bit of advise

I am exactly the same prefer having just one manufacturer but my doctor has said they are regulated and the only difference is bulking agents. Refused to prescribe Lustral but I have found a chemist that will give them if I ask for that brand, maybe ask your chemchemist if they have the brand your used to

I can’t help with the brand change because I’ve had been given the same brand twice now from the chemist but I think I’m on the same Timescales as you are transferred from cit to sertraline about 4 1/2 weeks ago And I’m also experiencing a little blip over the last two or three days I doubt the brand difference will make anything worse I think people just look for any change when they experience a blip and try and blame it on that we need to just write this and let it pass and we will be back on the upward trajectory

Please don’t worry about the brand. They are the same.
If you think about it too much you will start thinking any oddness is because of that..

I have been prescribed Lustral for 12 months now. I was given a different brand & within a week I was shaking and in a right state. The packet said aremis & the writing was in Spanish. I asked the pharmacist about them & they assured me that they were Lustral. They had Pfizer on the foil trap but not on the tablets. I did say that I was able to take generic but they insisted they were Lustral. I had to ask for another script and was back to normal after a couple of weeks.
I have now been told by the Dr that I will not recieve Lustral on the NHS & will have get the branded privately! It will cost around £45 monthly. So that means I will be working one day a week so as I can take the meds that work for me. It was the GP who figured out that generics didn’t work for me too. Frustrating.

I was given Lustral when I was on sertaline some time ago. But then they stopped supplying it.. luckily I was fine!

Tbh I feel ok I think the change of brand might if helped for the better but it’s still early.. how about you?

A little but was awake at 4am .. just annoyed as was starting to feel so much better how are you ?

Oh dear I was awake at 3 but managed to drop back off. Im not sure how I feel. Not to bad I think. I had a good day tho yesterday. I think it’s just part of recovery getting worst before better. Im sure we will get better tho

Yes one thing tho I do feel better than I ever did on citalopram. That stuff was nasty lol.
