Hi Naginder, hope all goes to plan, just keep up the foot pumps and knee rises, and you will get over it quickly like me, best of luck and keep in touch.
Kind regards Ian.
Hi naginder
Congratulations.
I'm due next month.
well done naginder, take it slowly and don't overdue it. xx
Glad all seems to be going well, almost. Having a temperture I think is not the best. I would monitor your temperature several times a day for the first 2 weeks at least. Not many people write that they had a high temperature after surgery. Your doctors obviously are not overly concerned or they would not have discharged you.
Best of luck to you and if yo u can't sleep chances are somebody will also be on this fourm not sleeping, LOL!
Hi Naginder -
How are you doing today?
I agree with Jodi that having a temperature is not the best - How high is it ?
Pain is pretty normal in this early stage, but if it is really bad, please contact your surgeon or the ward ...
Take it easy okay - You sound like a wonderful and optimistic person - Keep that thought !

Hi Naginder
hope they manage to get that temperature down. You are well on the road to recovery and still in your very first week. Many of us found that while the first week or two were very challenging at times, the recovery came on in leaps and bounds from there. From one week to the next you should notice great improvements. Just be patient with yourself, take it slow and easy and follow the rules. The people that follow the rules seem to recover more quickly than those that push a bit too hard.
Keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on.
Healing hugs
Laura
Meant to say, my operated leg was longer for a while but it seems to have settled down by about week 8.

Hi Naginder
Interested to see your post as I had my right hip replaced on Friday afternoon - one day before you. I came home on Monday and I think I am doing ok but as I am always a bit optimistic about things the reality is sometimes a bit of a shock! Sleeping in particular has been difficult and I realise it will be a while before this gets easier. How are you managing with this? This forum is really helpful so thanks to everyone who has posted advice.
