Hi everyone
Im at the end of my tether with tests, opinions an so on. First i was told it was polymyagia then fibro and now my doc says polymyaliga again. Apparently my blood tests show no imflamation so what am i to think?
Has anyone else had normal blood tests and yet been diagnosed with poly?
I have all the symptoms described by others on this site and also had tender points examined which wud indicate fibro.
Its very frustrating.

Hi Ally
I have had a similar predicament I have had an Occupational Doc to say Fibro, Rhuemotologist said it \"could be\" and my Physio says I have Osteo arthritis of my hip and I have secondary Fibromyalgia due to the arthritis and due to the tender points! I do have inflammation in my blood and my sed rate was 32 but even though it is classed as eleviated the Rhumo said as am under 40, it isn't likely for me to have Polymyalgia as due to my age and my sed rate isnt high enough????? I am not sure how high it is suppose to be in order for a diagnosis, but as it is I dont think Gps want to dish out diagnosis as I have had verbal comments off my doc stating Arthritis and Polymyalgia but it isn't documented on my sick notes etc?????
Sorry I have no answers too xx
Kind Regards
Happy New Year !!

Thank you for ur reply Ses and its nice to meet u. Ive even had physio an he said he thought it was fibro, all i know is that the physio made it worse and when he put a tens machine on my neck i ended up with a course of steroids because i cudnt move it!
I told my gp i wud not be goin to physio again until i knew what i had because i could lie on a bed an swing my arms back an forth for 40 minutes at home!
Prior to that i had another physio who said my hip an back problems were due to my pelvis not returning to its normal position after child birth, the rheumatologist laffed at that one and i laffed when i was sent for some special insoles for my shoes which cripple me !! I had those because of the pain i get in my heels, the guy who sorted those out for me drew round my feet with a biro pen onto some paper and said my arches needed support, there is nothing wrong my arches !!!
You couldnt make this stuff up could u lol
Hi Ally
Yeah my problems started from when I had my son as I have been like this since dec 2006 and I am back again to the Gp today, I had pubis dysfunction when pregnant and clicky hips when born and the rhuemo treat me as tho I was a joke, saying I had mechanical back strain!!!!! she didnt care to have my medical notes with her or look at my x-rays, if I could afford to go private I would, the physio puts me on bio-waves I think its called, a red infer red light to reduce inflammation, it seems to work in the area its on but I have pain and tenderness all over so I don't think It will ever get rid of this???? who knows?
Anyway ttfn x
