So I went for my One year post TKR check up with a specialist arthroplasty nurse. I explained to her that I was experiencing a sharp pain on the inside of my knee just below the joint. Looking at the X-ray there appears to be a change on the top of the Tibia. She seems to think it's a cyst or a fissure with a collection of fluid. I'm now referred back to the consultant. Feel a bit deflated š¢
Iām having another surgery in two weeks and had my TKR in Jan of this year. So much for wanting to be pain free
Good luck Martha, when having this surgery we all hoped for the perfect recovery but that doesn't always happen. I'm hoping the pain I have is not long term X
Oh, no...sorry to hear about that Snoozy....but looking at your picture has me a bit freaked out...I have swelling in the same place! I wasn't too worried about it since my right TKR, I managed to develop a stress fracture on my left foot, and I was thinking the swelling on the right knee now is from the left foot being weird....DAMIT....
Keep us posted and I hope all is well....I am going to keep hoping my swelling in my knee with the replacement is just from the fact that I have to wear this %$#@! boot on my left foot....
Awe, I wouldn't blame you for being deflated, who would think a year on that something like this could happen...I hope everything will turn out good for you.....Rose
