New Patient

Hi all

I'm a new patient, having suffered a major heart attack on 14th Feb - aged 35

Totally out of the blue and i am an active guy who plys, teaches football on a daily basis,

Just wanted to post on here as i thought it may be good to chat to people who have been through this already and are coping with this.

I feel ok now having had a stent fitted but get tired so easily now and walking to the end of the road is like climing Mount Everest

I am yet to start mt cardio programme

hope to hear from some of you

Regards

R

Phew, glad you're ok now. So awful at any age but at 35, even worse and so unexpected too. 18 months ago, our 39-year-old son had a small stroke - he, too, played amateur football, tennis and went to the gym, never smoked, etc. He's on medication and fine now thank goodness.

I hope you get some replies from others in a similar position - always comforting to share problems.

Good luck and hope you stay well and strong now.

Many Thanks MrsO

Glad your son is ok now as well, and like your son, with medication and time the docs expect me to be able to make a near full recovery!

All the best

R

"... walking to the end of the road is like climbing Mount Everest" Let me guess, umm, taking Bisoprolol, 2.5 mg, by any chance question cheesygrin Yeah it batters you, no this struggling isn't your Heart as such smile Best thing to do is give it a few months (for the stent to heal over) and try and get back to living your healthy lifestyle wink

Hi there. Well im a 33 year old. Diagnosed with variant angina when i was 25. My spasms were pretty badl ead me to a heart attack when i was 31. It was a pretty bad one too. Had 2 stents fitted. Now i do have occasional chest pain and discomfort but more managable. I do get tired easily but work out are important and so is diet. Do feel better and take care.
