Hi Guys,
I know there are posts on this already but I just want to put out my experiences here just for a bit of reassurance really...and to speak to others who have been going through the same thing.
I decided to persue selincro to limit my drinking, as with most other people on here. I drink more than I like and previous attempts of limiting have always slowly crept up again and I get caught in this endless cycle.
I have been looking forward to the release of Selincro as much reading on it, it seemed ideal for what I needed and have now been prescribed it after 3 months of working with an alcohol worker.
I took my first tablet a couple of Fridays ago. I began feeling very body conscious and everything felt heavy....I decided to go to bed and just blamed it on the fact I was coming down with a cold (which I was). The bed very cozy, almost as if the matress was swallowing me up and molding around my body. I woke up in the night for an hour or so, but knew that insomnia was a side effect so that didnt worry me too much. Now I am recovered from my cold, I decided to take a tablet last night as it seemed an ideal opportunity as I was going out with friends. It did have the desired effect as did not drink at all, but again, I just felt so wierd - its almost hard to describle. I just felt very conscious of every party of my body, I almost felt like I was in a dream and like my surroundings werent real. I was sat around a table and I felt like the tablewas really small and the chair was really small and I was really big......it sounds stupid but its the only way I feel I can describe it. Again, did not have the best night as I kept waking to go to the toilet (I seem to be weeing a lot although am not drinking much?!). Today I still do not feel quite right - I feel a bit spaced out - and as if time is going really slowly. I do not feel hungry or thursty at all.
Forrunately I have not suffered from ill stomach like a lot of people, just this really stranged almost spaced out feeling (I feel like im on some sort of illegal drug!!) - Has anyone else experienced this?
