New soft bumps on labia minora

Back in 2023 I observed a small shiny bump on my labia minora it’s soft and caused no pain or irritation I thought maybe it was irritation from a new jeans I bought which was a bit too tight but it never went down now to this day I have observed 3 on each side of my labia minora in the same order on each side they have not increased in size but they are there they kind of follow the order of my normal labia mucosae but it’s raised and quite obvious visually. I have been to 2 doctors a general practitioner who said it looked normal and a gynecologist who also said the same but I have never seen these before and I got skeptical it could be genital warts but I am told since I have not been sexually active (ive only been fingered once 6 months before I saw the first bump. Is this a normal variation should I get a third opinion? I have googled on vestibular papilloma but it doesn’t look like that

Based on your description, this sounds more consistent with a benign anatomical normal variant than genital warts, especially because:

  • The bumps are soft, shiny, smooth, painless, and non-irritating.
  • They are symmetrical on both sides.
  • They follow the natural line or order of the labia minora mucosa.
  • They have been present since 2023 without meaningful growth, spread, ulceration, bleeding, or symptoms.
  • Both a GP and a gynaecologist have examined them and were of the professional opinion that they looked normal.

That pattern fits benign vulval anatomical variants such as vestibular papillomatosis, mucosal papillae, or sometimes Fordyce-type sebaceous spots, depending on the exact appearance. Vestibular papillomatosis is described as small, shiny, skin-coloured papules arranged symmetrically on the inner labia minora or vestibule, and is an anatomical variant rather than an STI.
