New symptoms, are they normal?

Just recently I've been having these new symptoms and just wanted to ask advice if they are anxiety related.

My arms have been feeling achy, is this normal?

Flu like symptoms are very common when we have anxiety for an extended period of time. It is so wearing on our muscles and nerves and even our immune system. Aching legs are very prevalent with anxiety sufferers. No symptoms should surprise you though. Anxiety is full of tricks and loves to get your attention. Try to tell yourself "so what, my legs ache, it's no big deal, I can live with it" and do that with all symptoms. Get up and move to show your brain that you're OK. Drink lots of water too. Take a good vitamin and add some magnesium too. Magensium really helps with muscle pain. Accepting that all of the sensations and symptoms is just anxiety is so hard. But I know when I do that, it helps a lot.

Achy muscles can be caused by stress, overuse, being ill like with the flu, etc.

I have had the achy muscles with stress and anxiety. However I always recommend everyone get a check up with their doctor once a year at least.

keep in mind that any symptoms related to anxiety cannot hurt you. They feel weird and they are annoying but that is all. Trying to keep busy, keep social, eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids. if the achiness does not go away within a reasonable amount of time, schedule a visit with your doctor to get peace of mind.
