I have seen some videos from overseas. This lense is multi focal and edof with full range of vision .
Just FDSA approved in USA. Cannot find any tech info on this lens. Called J&J here in USA and they just said its new and not in the pipe line yet? Any one have any info and any studies in usa have been done. I am told I need catract both eyes but will wait 6 months if this lens is a game changer.
“Just FDSA approved in USA”
I also am very interested in this IOL and have been waiting for it to be FDA approved, but as far as I am aware it has not been FDA approved. What does FDSA stand for?
Synergy is approved in Europe and Canada.
It is hard to get much information on this IOL. The defocus curve is the best I have seen, but I have to think it comes with tradeoffs. How server those tradeoffs is the question.
The best videos on Synergy I have seen are:
- Youtube video called, “J&J Vision Tecnis Synergy CEMA webinar - prof. dr. sc. Gabrić”
- Vimeo Video called, “Tecnis Synergy IOL: The Newest Member of the Tecnis Family – Dr. Chang Presentation”
- Vimeo Video called, “Tecnis Synergy IOL: The Newest Member of the Tecnis Family – Dr. Chang QA”
If you have other resourse please share.
I was going to email some of the JNJ contacts I have seen on articles about Synergy if they know anything on its status.
