New to all this

My doctor has offered to put me on Orlistat as I'm carrying way too much weight. I've damaged my back really badly and can't exercise properly at the moment, and the excess weight I'm carrying is making my back worse. I'm wondering if these tablets are the way forward in helping me lose weight?

Any advice would be a great help

i have been on the tablets for a week now and can not atend the gym due to medical problems but i have so far lost half a stone :D with out the gym so cant think what would happen or how much i will loose when i do start the gym the tablets learn you to eat less fat in your meals so its kind of teaching your body what good and what not if that makes any sense to you

hope this helped you out

hi neil i have been on the tablets a month now and have lost half stone,it took a while for me to see any results tho everybody on here is different if u read thru the threads.the main thing id say is read ur labels and watch ur fats in your meals.good luck dawnx

neil - been on the blueys just over 2 months, i had already started exercising before going on them and plataued on 21 stone - in the past two months i have managed to shift 2.2 stone, so am pleased - with any luck as the weight loss increases your back pain will decrease and (i hope) you can do a little bit of exercise (swimming is fantastic if you have a bad back!)
