Hello I am new to celexa. I have a question. I started lexapro for 5 days at 5mg. I quit for two days because it was causing bad stomach pain and nausea. Though it's hard to say if it really was the lexapro because I had taken a lot of magnesium for sleep and that could of caused my stomach pain. Anyway my doctor put me on celexa. I took my first dose of 10mg yesterday. So being off SSRI for 2 days will I have to start all over again with the side effects. I was starting to get good sleep while I took lexapro. I was nervous last night because I had taken the celexa late and it tends to keep me up. I had to take a sleeping pill. I switched to taking the celexa in the morning now. I just want to be able to get good sleep and not have the anxiety that I get especially in the mornings.
so today would be day 6 for you. yes you will start over with side effects even if you go up or down with the dosage. Good luck.
