New to orlistat

Hi everyone

I started taking orlistat on Thursday and was just wondering what are the worst things to eat which will make you very ill on the tablets and which things are a deffo nono.  My nurse said to avoid fatty things and follow low fat diet and drink lots of water

trying to find my feet with what I can and can't eat - had quite a few crisps the other day and expected a big consequences but nothing as such - in fact going to the loo less than before ...!

thanks in advance for any advice

Follow britneys conversations and posts and it will keep u right.

Fat per meal portion must not be over 5% or u will feel it.

And I've found no crisps suitable yet.... The symptoms can take a few days to come thru so prepare for that if the crisps have been high fat.

I struggled to go toielet but drinking 3 litres water plus every day now and that helps massively.

Hiya,

Search Britney Spears on here as she has done lots of postings, she has put so much info on here which is really helpful. I'm on day 11 now. Had a couple accidents which are not nice.

Using my fitness pal is a great tool to keep an eye on making sure you don't exceed the 15g in total per meal. You should not eat anything that is more than 5g per 100g.

Skips crips you can eat. I was constipated at first it will pass. You really have to increase your water intake.  Takes a while to get use to checking your food but then it kicks in.

Everyone is really supportive on here so your in the right place. Good luck 😉

Thank you both x
