new to side need help

hello people just joined today need some help. i have had a on going problem with constipation for year the issue is if i have lots of say all bran to help my constipation then i do have more bowel movements but i have bad gas farts and burps. so i then go on a low to non fiber diet just eating a white rice and plan chicken the bloating and gas does seem to do but then i dont have bowel movements due to the low fiber so its a catch 22 how the hell do i get round this as it gone on for years its caused some much pain in my life i lost my gf and a lot of work as i work for my self. its made me feel so low in my life and had ground me down so much i have been fighting it for so long now. its like having a curse its so upsetting and have in a nut shell left my life in bits i cant take much more of this now and its getting to the point were i some time feel like i wish i was dead i know that sound awful but this issue is awful the last 15 years have been so low and its getting to much for me now please help 

 

Have you been to see a doctor?

You need to be seen, what you subscribe can be related to several issues, I am no doctor so really not able to comment as such. There are over the counter meds which can help with constipation. You can always talk to a pharmaceutical person, they will give advice on what would be best for you.

my doc is no good total waste of time not help what so ever.  am living of plain chicken and plain white rice the gas and bloating do get loads better then but causes constipation, i was getting my fiber from all bran that help with bowel movment i great deal but then gives me gas non stop i i have using insoluble fiber as i was reading its ment to not give gas as it does not digest and soluble fiber does and causes gas so i have cut all soluble fiber i take it i do have some form of ibs

Dan, if you are not happy with your doctor why not go elsewhere and find a better one?

i was thinking of this but i feel it would be just the same there are 3 docs were i go just say eat more fiber i did that drink more water get i got bowel movment but with gas all day long am starting to wonder now if insoluble fiber is no good and should i try soluble now and cut out insoluble but from what i have been reading over the last 10 years of so soluble has more chance of causing gas 

Look up fodmap diet, it was my saving grace. Cuts out glueton, wheat, lactose and dairy. Hard going to start but did make a difference. Have you never been given a diagnosis. It's worth a go.

What  does your doctor have to say about it?

you have got it the wrong was round - insoluble fibre eg wheat bran can cause gas and bloating and even constipation,  but soluble fibre eg oats causes much less issues and still helps constipation.

try something like fibogel or movicol daily

all my fibre has been coming from all barn that insoluble fiber was having like 2 or 3 bowels aday i have realise even half a bowel gives me gas and bloating i have just swopped over to fibogel all the stuff i was reading on live said soluble fibre causes gas and insoluble fiber does not cause gas. so maybe you correct and i have got in wrong i can only go off what i was readying i was avoiding insoluble fibre 

Fibre

People with IBS are often advised to modify the amount of fibre in their diet. There are two main types of fibre: soluble fibre (which the body can digest) and insoluble fibre (which the body cannot digest).

Foods that contain soluble fibre include:

oats

barley

rye

fruit – such as bananas and apples

root vegetables – such as carrots and potatoes

golden linseeds

Foods that contain insoluble fibre include:

wholegrain bread

bran

cereals

nuts and seeds (except golden linseeds)

If you have constipation, increasing the amount of soluble fibre in your diet and the amount of water you drink can help.

having cut out alll the insoluble fiber i do feel a bit better now i added the fyborgel i am having bowel movment but not as much as i had with the insoluble fiber but the gas has gone so thats great what fruits are just soluble is a pear soluble with out the skin also a apple i take it the skin is insoluble just eating plain white rice and chicken at the mon that seem to work well. i have so much food in the kitchen that had insoluble fiber its unreal. 

is pear juice soluble does it have any insoluble in it ?

if its just juice then it has no fibre, but if you are blending the whole fruit then it will. as far as i know it is only the skins that are insoluble

no acid no. since i have been on here things have improved some what. i have cut out every food 100% am just eating chicken and rice and beef and rice both plain the gas has stoped, today i made a little bit of gravey bisto best about half hour later i had a snotty nose and a little gas looked on the jar it had soy in it so i have cut out soy wheat dairy and insoluble fiber and things seen good so far. try lining in chicken and rice just plain it takes some disaplin but its well worth it am going to do this for a few weeks then am going to add some veg and fruit in and make notes to see the result making a food log of what ye eating is a must 

if you juiced any fruit you would still have the soluble fiber but lose the insoluble fiber does that sound correct i just was reading about it 

so after a long battle cutting out the insoluble fiber the gas and bloating went but am still having issues with constipation due to no insoluble fibre, the soluble fiber isnt working like the insoluble fiber did. so one isses sorted and a new one started
