I am menauposed since 10 years and recently stated hte HRT testoterone , estriol, DHEA and progesterone.My doctor told me i will lose weight , gain in energy and elimate the foggy morning and loss of memory. after 10 days only my boost hurt, i fell floated my memory is very sharp but i fell drain.
is someone tell me if it,is normal syndrom ?
Hi Titine. I am confused: your doctor put you on HRT only 10 years after de menopause? It's usually not recommended. Why did he do that? Why only after 10 yrs? You should question him about this. If you disd take it from the start then it would be better , safer, to go on natural plant oestrogens like soy isoflavones /black cohosh, etc. In case you agree to proceed with the treatment be sure to use the transdermal route (gels and creams) never oral (tablets). hi Teresa i really appreciate our comment. i was totally menaupose at the age of 42 and i was against HRT . today at 52 i can fell the sympoms such as lack of memory , no sexual drive etc. i went and see a a doctor who precribe me a bio identical hormone therapy , i am using a testoterone cream ,projesterone pill and a viginal cream estriol plus dheai feel much better however my breast become very big and sensitive. do you think i should stop?

My comment was based on what the studies show: you should start early rather than later. But I believe you've done a wise choice: bioidentical, preferably transdermal HRT.
Is your progesterone pill natural progesterone too? The balance of the hormones you're taking should provide the key for any imbalance symptoms like breast tenderness and swelling. I take cyclic prescription bioidentical HRT (it's not compounded) and by the end of week 2 my breast star to hurt and swell. Then I start the cyclic progesterone and is goes back to normal.
If I may give you an advice: take breaks on your HRT, make a record of symptoms , and, if you can check your hormones a few times a year. That’s after all what the anti- aging doctors do on their long term HRT patients: they screen them constantly. X
