New Years resolutions . What's yours?

I want to be consistent in my getting back to fitness my goal is to lose three stone this yearlol

My resolution is to live every day as if there's no Tomorrow

do what I want when I want

Jean

Nice one Jean go for it. Happy anew Tear

Happy New Year even !

A Very Happy New Year to you too

I also want and NEED to lose about 3 stone this year.  I am determined that my new knee will be given as much chance as possible to work pain fee.  Jean, I agree with you too. The past four years have been ruled by this blasted knee - that ends in 2015!!!  I will be in charge of my life and do what I want to.  God it feels good to say that lol.  Happy New Year xxx

I am totally with you ruby, I feel exactly the same. 3.stone for me too and living life to the full. I retire at end of january and don't intend to let my knee rule my life as it had these last few years.

Hi Ruby

my knee has ruled my life and is still doing at the moment ...but ....things will get better in 2015

my weight is ok at the moment and I'll be happy to stay as I am  the knee should give us both a new lease of life

bionic Nan as my grandchildren now call me is back  on track ,...biggrin

Happy New Year

Maybe we can all keep in touch on here with a 3stone weightloss discussion post to encourage each other . We have specific specialisation with our knees too.

Think by this time next year we will be bouncing around

Good for you Susan!  I have had a good time over Christmas and now I have to start thinking about life again and not my right knee. Yes I will still exercise etc but then it will be what I want to do.  If I want to go anywhere and do anything then I intend to do it or at least give it a good go.  All the best to you xxx

I hope we all do keep in touch it old be lovely to see if we carry out our resolutions

Jean

Hey bionic Jean!, Doesn't it feel good to finally feel that we have a life again.

Lets all hope that we can stick to these resolutions.  I'm sure we can if we all just remember the pain we were in before we had our knees done.  This forum is so supportive of everyone I just know it will keep us all on track xxx

That's a great idea Scoobeedoo.  It will encourage us to stick to it too. The day after I had my op, my consultant came round and I asked him how much the joint weighed.  He replied " in the grand scheme of things Ruby, it doesn't really make much difference". Sarcastic little man lol!, Come on Scoobeedoo and Susan lets go for it and lose that 3 stone.  Think how much that will help the joint in the long run xx

You are so right ...this Forum has kept me sane....there's always been someone around to reassure  me when I've been feeling that things aren't going as well as I expected.

and maybe in 2015 I will be the one reassuring others

I don't mind being called Bionic Nan but I do object to wearing a daft outfit and a cape ....lol

Lets do it biggrin

It has helped me no end as well. Just knowing that someone is going through or has gone through what you have is just so reassuring.  Also whenever I have been worried that something was not right, so many have replied and made me feel so much better and not like a neurotic lunatic. If I can reassure people in the future that would be great.xx

That's our mission for 2015 Ruby to reassure others.

Haha. Better get used to wearing your pants over your leggings

One for you Jean

Lol I wouldn't mind the figure
