Hi all, i'm new to here, just got orlistat today after struggling on for 6 years with this weight, I am hoping they will help me be more conscious of what is going in my mouth , I go to the gym couple of times a week so hopefully that will help too.
so let me get this right 30g over the 3 meals a day and on packaging if i go for anything with up to 4g per 100 that will be ok ?
also what fat are in eggs, i love eggs.

Bad news on eggs i'm afraid, they are about 6-7g per egg depending on size, most companys now put it on the box.
You are best to stick to foods that are 5% fat or less per 100g but you can treat yourself to foods which are more than 5% so long as you don't have more than your daily allowance of fat.
No more than 30g fat per day with no more than 15g per meal
Thanks for that, well will start in the morning, egg a treat now and then. I will be like omg what can i eat lol ! I'm going on holiday in 2 weeks to Turkey what do you suggest, just see how i go. Does the med build up in your system or is it just as you take it for each meal ?
Eating out is always hard here or abroard, you need to know what something was cooked in and how as it can all affect the fat content.
I personally come off the tablets for a holiday and where possible make healthy choices and try and make up for the unhealthy ones by doing extra laps in the pool and sit ups etc
Everyone is different in terms of how long the medication affects them and how long it stays in the system, i usually lay off the tablets on the day if i know i am going to be having a meal out or a treat and then resume the next day but other people seem fine just skipping the tablet for the meal in question
