Just started Femoston 1/10 am on 4 week, was great first 3 weeks now feeling little low & anxious, is this normal? Can some body advise are patches safer than tablets? I am age 50 1/2 peri.
Hi to start with I am sorry you are not feeling to good. I’m 43 and have been going through this for three years now and have tried tablets and patches. I had to stop tabs as my liver rejected them and the patches I found would not stay on for the length of time they were suppost to and when it came to bedtime I found them embarrassing and wouldn’t let the other half near me. I am now on the gel which you can put on the backs of your arms or the inside of your thighs and have found that I am more settled. I’m afraid it is a matter of preference and what suits you the best. You will find what you are comfortable with. Good luck xx
Thank you for your reply, I am glad that you have found something that works for you finally xx. I will give it the 3 months that people say you should give it fingers crossed things will settle 😁
Hi, Newbie. We all have to start somewhere. Tried herbal route for several years but gave up & been on patches about 18 months. Feel great, no flushes, bleeding or anything. Told patches much safer than tablets as absorbed through the skin and not the gut. I am 67 and will continue with the Evorel for the forseeable. Good luck.
Hi cluxton
How are things with the Femoston 1/10?
I've be on it 5weeks now.
Hi, I am 3 days into my 3rd month and things are so much better, I am glad I took advice and waited it out, I seem to get along with the progesterone in this tablet so will stick with these. How are you getting on now you are into your second month ??
That's great news.
I seem to be much better with the progesterone phase. On day 6of estrogen phase and feel tired but otherwise OK.
How do the affect you?
Zoe62821, Hi on the 4th week (2nd week prog), I do get a little low mood I go quiet and withdraw a little, but once period starts I seem to pick up again. I am keeping a mood diary to see if there is a pattern. I think in the back of my mind I also worry a little about being on hrt if I am honest x
Thanx. I started a symptoms diary but initially it just showed I felt bad all the time then as time went on I noticed that each particular symptom had a pattern. It's helping me plan abit.
I have not concerns about being on HRT because when I find the right one I am going to feel amazing 😀
Hi cluxton.
How are things going on the Femoston?
I'm on 2nd month 2nd week of progesterone phase. PMT kicked in.
Hi Zoe
I have had the same problem am on last week of 3rd month on progesterone and been low mood and tearful, keep saying I am going to come off them when this month finishes and try natural route, need to make my mind up. I still worry about taking them and that doesn't help.
How long just it last? Are you OK at other times on it?
Hi yes ok on estrogen 2 weeks but crap on progesterone 2 weeks, I must not be able to tolerate it and this is one of the nicer ones, hope you have better luck
Hi cluxton
How's things with Femoston?
Hi I am a week into 4th month and no bleed, been crying over weekend for no reason and low mood on and off, got appt with GP Wednesday gonna ask for either 2/10 Femoston or patches see if that lifts the mood. How are you doing on them now?
Hi cluxton.
Im exactly the same. My nurse at the menopause clinic has given me 2/10 tablets to change to. Will start them in 2weeks. I've also had my vit d rechecked x
Hi cluxton
How are you getting on? Did you change?
Hi, I did go to see Gp and he gave me Femseven patches, as it was nearly Xmas and I was due to take the progesterone part for 2 weeks ( and this part gives me low mood) my daughter said don't take those 2 weeks get Christmas over then start with patch. Well it has been 3 weeks 1 day and I have not taken anything and I feel much better all round. So at the moment staying off HRT. How you getting on with the 2/10? My dr did say hrt dies not cure everything and could make depression/ anxiety/ low mood worse especially on progesterone part. Hope it is working for you xx
