Is there anyone from my local area of Southend on sea who writes on here. It would be nice to know if anyone has had or is waiting for THR at our local hospital.

Where are you having your hip done and how old are you? My op is scheduled for mid June.
I'm 46, been waiting (in pain) for what feels like an eternity. I'm scared but am really happy to be hopefully pain free very soon.

I'm having mine done at cannock in Staffordshire, I'm 40 yrs old and been in pain a while!
I'm on morphine now as nothing was taking the pain away! Still working hard too, I work in a residential home for young people with autism and challenging behaviours .
How are you managing pain wise?
