after having my first baby I struggled to lose my baby weight, then I got caught with my second and after having him im the heaviest ive ever been. Im 5"4 and 14st12lb when I started these tablets. I've been on them for 11 days and have lost half a stone. Im eating the same kinda stuff but lower feat versions and smaller portions. I've cut out cheese and chocolate and my biggest vice....coke. I feel better for it. More energy. My fella said I look healthier. Im not exercising as much as I would like but I don't drive so I walk everywhere and where i live is very hilly! So any other newbies out there want to share or chat? And for those who have been on them for a while, how do you find them? And do U have any hints or tips that worked for you ?
Thats great to hear u have had such great results, i have been taking them for about 3 weeks or so and have just picked up next prescription.
Started off at just over 15stone and now down to around 14.2. Im the same as u i walk everywhere. I havent cut out coke myself ive just switched to diet or pepsi max!
How are u finding them? Have u had any nasty side effects?
i started taking my orlistat last friday 10th august 12.
first time ive ever taken them
i waited 2 months to get them as no chemist had them in stock .been on them a week 2day and have lost 5lb
im 4ft 11 and weigh 16.5 so have quite a bit to lose.
im the same i had 2 kids and managed to lose 5 stone but then had another baby and put it all back on
just cant shift it so doctor gave ma orlistat.
i read alot of bad things but then read some gd.ive not found them bad at all apart from number 2s being soft and orange.had a few headaches but thats it.
im still eating what i was and there working fine for me (so far)
Please don't give up and let the weight stay there! I left my post-baby weight and it gradually got worse over the years! I eventually joined Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness classes, and it really worked. I lost three and a half stone in six months. I have now kept my weight at my target level for over 2 years with no problems. It really boils down to using more calories than you eat, so keep up the exercise and cut down on the portion sizes, eat low fat food only. Watch the alcohol intake, too. There are lots of calories in just a glass of wine. Believe me, it's worth it when you can look great and wear whatever style of clothes you want. Good luck!
