Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with diverticulitis after experiencing pain and ending up in A&E. It’s not in the usual spot as it’s up near my gallbladder so initially they thought appendix, then gallstones, but it was neither of those. I spent 4 days in hospital on pain relief, fluids, and various other things, whilst they tried to figure out what was going on.
I’m back out in the wild still on antibiotics, some pain relief and lactulose, as well as a low fiber diet for the moment. For the last few days I’ve been down an internet rabbit hole trying to learn as much as I can about it but some of the information has been confusing.
I found this forum whilst trying to find specific information on the bloating. I feel like it’s just not going down & have no idea how to help it along or if it’s just going to stay like this. All my clothes are uncomfortable and I’m back to work tomorrow wondering if my purple fluffy unicorn pj bottoms will violate the dress code. Would anyone have any advice? I would be eternally grateful

Just had a CT Scan Monday and have left sided Diverticulitis. Never had this as I have ulcerative colitis and in 2019 colonoscopy should 1 diverticula.
I had baked salmon, I baked, week prior on Tuesday. Within an hour serious watery diarrhea til this Monday. Thought norovirus including my dr office. Was on liquid and brat Thought better Saturday, then sunday started again afterceating dry toast and eggs did have coconut ice cream which could have bothered me Sunday. That night 11pm to 1:30 more watery D. Monday not feeling good went to UC she ordered stat ct scan. Been on Antibiotics since Monday night. Been drinking fluids and trying soy yogurt mashed banana toast feel gas, bloating like now constipated. Taking probiotic too. When will I feel better and go again. Still have more stool test to do when I can go. Ugh not fun Any thoughts? I am using a stool softner dr approved taking.
Have you tried intestinal adsorbents? Like enterosgel or doctorgut bloating relief. They cleanse the gut, drug-free, the website is very informative , you can buy in boots or amazon
