Liz, the advice I gave to the 19yr olds thread you commented on are all the things to do. I was someone who had a severe reaction w such bad neuropathy, u had to go to the ER and was places on anticonvulsants (nerve pain meds they give to severed cases of diabetics w neuropathy) for months. Then I had daily symptoms of paresthesia about 20xs a day for 8 months and two obs a month, even while on daily meds. I did extenisce research to understand the immune system better and our nerves and what is needed for healing and preventing damage, which heroes does affect. Once I applied that daily regiment, I went from 0-5 symptoms a day.
I broke out w a bump Friday, because I went out late and drank a lot of liquor... Lol.. I hadn't taken my meds that night either. Beer and wine won't have this effect on me, but for some reason liquor does.. I think the high sugar content in the liquor beverages I drink, is what triggers it for me and if I continue drinking till the wee hrs. When I have symptoms or have an ob, I soak in an Epsom salt bath daily till it is gone and this has made them clear up the fastest for me. So Friday I went from Mike or swelling around the red bump w some tenderness, to a flat red dot on the skin and no swelling by today.
Before my daily supplement routine, I would have a result bump for a week or more until it went away. That daily routine was the game changer for me and I no longer have symptom's every hr of the day, reminding me of what I had. Ensuring to keep your body alkalined is important too. So two table spoons of apple cider vinegar is a must. What people fail to realize, is 70% if our immune system is in our gut. Our poor diet, lack of nutrients from that, or over used soil or drinking water drinking water being stripped of magnesium and iodine, is throwing off our body's pH balance in our gut, so how can we expect our s immune system to function optimally? Beware, herpes loves hormones.. If those are going up and down, heroes w some people likes to cone out and play. It does to me on the third or fourth day of my cycle internally, but I suspect the tampons friction is causing it at this point.. Still, it doesn't bother me.
I've had so many recurrents and I've yet to be in pain from any if them.. I go about my day like any other. In fact, I wouldn't even know they were there, if it wasn't because I have a habit of checking myself daily. See, I journaled daily my symptoms, flare ups and things like emotional events or late nights going out and drinking, my cycle etc and the changes to my supplements over time, so I could identify my triggers, what my symptoms were when I believe I am shedding and not having an active ob, etc.. So I could learn my body, my triggers, my signs and what caused obs and what improved my symptoms and I recommend this to people at least the first 8 mo this of your body adapting. So had I not looked, because I have in the past had a bump after a Kate outing drinking, I'd not had any idea. I've only ever had one bump ulcerate out of all my single bump recurrent obs, so try not to stress the recurrents.. I know this strikes fear is many that they will all be like this, but they won't. Hang in there, it gets better!
