Absolutely loving my new hip, it really is coming up trumps!! Next challenge-back on horse back!! X
I'm really glad for you - well done! How far on are you?
I had my left hip done on 09/04/15.
When have they said you can do that? Have a friend with two new hips who went back to touring on a motorbike.
X
I am happy for you...it's really good news!
Ella
Anytime now. Unfortunately I had to retire my own horse due to arthritis so I need to find a steady one to begin with. My friend has offered me hers. I really want to get back to competitive riding again as I am only 34 and there was no point having it done unless I was going to get my life back.x
Wow, that's amazing. I have just 'retired' at 52 from working with small children because my consultant said that up and down off the floor would wear out me new hips. I have no wish to be back for revisions quicker than I need to but feel a bit 'on the shelf' so to speak.
I am wondering what other people have been told about more extreme positions/exercise etc after having new hips?
Just as a complete aside. I was writing my comment and noticed the ads at the side. I know they tailor adverts now for groups and preferences but there was Senna tablets, Veet (as if I can get down that far yet) , and The Ashes on Sky tv - I really must change my life a bit!
My surgeon was very much "you have to live for the now" I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and I am also a vet nurse that works nights. Given my age, I refuse to let my operation stop me from doing activities especially with the children etc, after all that's why I had the op.x
Good going girl !!!!! let us know how you get on ... must be such a great feeling - love your doctor's attitude and yours, of course ..
warm hug
Hi Rachel. How far along are you? Is this the first or second hip?
Susan
Nearly 16 weeks, although the turning point for me wasn't until 13 weeks! And 1st hip.x
