Next Positive Steps?

As previous posts detailed dealt with rectal bleeding since around Jan or Feb time. 26 otherwise healthy male. Digital exam by gp came back all clear with conservative treatment advised I.e. Water etc.

Fast forward to May, still experienced bleeding but definitely sharp pain when passing motions but definitely less blood. Started to take a stool softener the last 3 days and have had no pain or bleeding but just there 1 episode of bleeding where I went to the toilet to find out it was just gas, again small amount of fresh blood. Applied sudocrem over the anus

Hoping this is a isolated attack:)

So next steps? Should I continue with stool softener at the minute taking 1 or 2 ducolaxease throughout the day with about 2l of water

Definitely have felt a lot better the last 2 weeks hoping another week makes a big change :)

I would continue to take the stool softener. I have 1 sachet of laxido about half hour before bed and dissolve it in half a glass of water. I’m trying to keep my stools as soft as possible for atleast a month or 2 from the time I last saw blood to make sure it’s all healed up before I dare try and let my stools get harder again. I’m scared to death of the massive amounts of bleeding happening again, it’s not good to lose all that blood! 1 sachet is more than enough for me, sometimes I have to have a couple of days off them because I end up with the runs as I have ibs but it’s 100 times better than being constipated lol!
