I rang these people this morning. I have dealt with them before.
I just want to say that is any of you are worried, concerned or have an issue about any aspect of medical care or treatment and cannot get to the doctors or do not want to bother the doctor then I absolutely endorse the service of NHS Direct.
The health advisers who take the initial call are very caring and have time to listen and the nurses who ring you back to help and advise are wonderful.
Don't hesitate to call them if you are ever worried about anything at all.
Alicia - i have used NHS 24 in our area and they are very good.
Hope you're mouth is feeling better
Not yet. Had to stop the Metro. Spoke to dentist - going in again on Monday.
I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks
Is it not agreeing with you :?:
When i lost weight at the beginning of this illness someone said to me, \"Every cloud has a silver lining\"
Hi everyone :D
Oh, I am so pleased to hear that others have had good experiences with NHS Direct :D
When I was working and on duty at the weekends, I found them so incredibly helpful when GPs just didn't want to know  ..... they really went that extra mile!
Thanks NHS Direct ..... you are all brilliant .... and feel free to join us on this amazing forum :magic:
We will make you very welcome :D
I think nhs direct is excellent. In the early days of my illness they were good with me. The doctors are good as well. Some of the doctors who do nhs direct in our area are employed only for the nhs service.
