Night anxiety , shortness of breath

Idk why but a lot of times st night I get shortness of breath which causes my head to feel weird. It’s kind of like a pressure in my head but hard to explain. Gets worse if I hyperventilate . I’ve tried meditation and everything but nothing works.

Your not alone, I get the same way most nights, my Dr did a full exam on me to rule out any conditions and all came back normal, anxiety plays games with our minds

You probably have got set in a routine where you've preconditioned your brain to expect the worse at night. So now you preempt the fear and hyperventilate.

Try this excercise even through the day: Put your lips into same position that you’d use to blow out birthday candles. Breathe in slowly through your nose, not your mouth. Then, breathe out slowly through the small opening between your lips. Take your time to exhale, and don’t blow the air out with force. Repeat these steps until you feel normal.

And if still struggling speak to you Dr again. X
