I've been taking 100mg of Sertraline for several months now to treat an anxiety disorder. I suffer from pretty bad health anxiety and also some physical symptoms that have manifested themselves from my anxiety, at least according to my doctors.
My psychiatrist doesn't seem to be the best and has claimed that sertraline should not cause night sweats or insomnia, but I've read otherwise.
For the first month taking the medicine I had no issues with sleep. Before I had any issues, I never had any insomnia or night sweats.
Suddenly one night about 1 month into the 100mg dose, I woke up multiple times through the night, sometimes sweating a little bit. Not everytime I woke up I would be sweating, but eventually as the night went on I would start to sweat. This happens EVERY NIGHT, there is no night where I do not suffer from this problem.
As time went on this problem has only become worse, my sweating at first was minor, felt like isolated to the back of my knees, butt region, but now my whole body is damp, and leaving pools of water on parts of my sheets.
I'm scared because I've been always health anxious and this has really triggered my fears of lymphoma. Anyone have a similar experience? In particular waking up every night multiple times, and experiencing the sweating every night too.
