Does any one know of a cure or help with hot flashes during day and night ?
I had this at one time and if I took my temperature it was always a low reading. I was soaking the bed with sweat and sheets had to be changed daily at one time and I started sleeping on a towel. It slowly disappeared so whether it was the Prostatitis or Cancer I do not know.

Your doc can give you the chemist resolution; but thats just another possible side effects list. I had some relief with sage pills at night and sage tea in the day. Also standing in front of open fridge! Wish you patience with it.

ask the doctor about Provera it works for me, recommended by the urologist when I told them about my hot sweats, works pretty well.

Thanks girl that, I'm just about cheesed off sweating all night long and not getting any sleep. This is from the hormone injections.

You are welcome...hope it helps. The scenario tends to be... Do yourself a favour..get used to some variation of hot flushes even after stopping the hormone treatment. For some of us this is the price to pay for fighting cancer. Staying calm about it does help..eg diaphragm deep breathing. Your consultant will be vaguely sympathetic..."but individuals react differently so we can't warn you in advance" !!! All the best with it.
