Hi,
I recently changed from Sertraline 50mg to Mirt 45mg. Sleep better but experiencing vivid nightmares, thinking of selling them to Steven Spielberg! About to reduce the dose on GPs advice, will nightmares decrease with time? Any experiences?

Hi Nettles. I read with your comment with interest, as i've been taking Mirtazapine for a couple of years now, and have always had really bizarre nightmares, the latest one was last night. I really could write a surreal novel based on the nghtmares i've had this year alone!.
Nettles, 50mg sert is a light dose, 45mg Mirt I think is pretty heavy. Try going 15mg Mirt first.
Can someone back me up if they think I'm right? It just seems like a pretty big leap.
I have recently changed from 200mg Sertraline to 30mg of Mirtazapine.
I sleep for the first 2 days of taking Mirtazapine, been on them now for 4 weeks and feeling much better, very drowsy in the morning but much better in myself. So yes 45mg is a high dose, i Started on 15mg and after 2 weeks increased to 30mg seeing doctor again next week and going to increase to 45mg. It seems strange for them to put u straight on a high dose.
Hope you feel better soon. :D
