Nipple-like lumps inside vaginal opening

Hello.  As the title says, the best way I can describe the appearance of these lumps is that they look like tiny elongated breasts with little nipples at the end of them, there are at least 6-8 at the opening of my vagina that can be just about seen if I move things about a bit down there in front of a mirror.

I've also had itching, additional discharge, and some smell.. not fishy but doesn't smell to me as clean as I usually do.  The itching can be very severe but if I touch the lumps even just for a minute it goes away completely not to return for a while.

I suspect genital warts but I have seen nothing like the lumps I have when doing a Google image search.

This is all been going on since February when I slept with a new partner. I got a yeast infection which went away but nothing has been the same down there since then.

Please help this is really stressing me out and I haven't been sexually active with anyone since because I have no idea what it is, I don't want to infect anyone with it and I'm certain they will notice the lumps/smell!  I'm too scared to go to a doctor, I've never had a gyn examination

Don't get worked up about a gyn exam, they've seen it all before and they are there to help and not pass judgement. It does sound like warts, get checked out asap so you can start treatment and put your mind at ease, bettet to be a little uncomfortable while getting a quick check up than for them to get more and more painful and serious, good luck

Hi, it could be anything. You should make an appointment and see an OBGYN, you may even be more comfortable with a female OB - either way make an appoimtment it may be something that can be cleared up without a lot of effort and the visit will most certainly put your mond at ease.

Please do not worry about being embarrassed (most of us are) but I have come to the understanding that Doctors have seen so many of the same issues and naked bodies, that they are more concerned about identifying and finding a remedy than anything else.

Funny story, I saw my Doctor at the store one day - and he had no clue at all, who I was, LOL...  Good luck and get it checked out.

Can a Guy enter this conversation???

What colour are they and could they be hair follicles trying to burst through?

The  hair follicle is a part of the skin, which grows a hair by packing old cells together. Attached inside the top of the follicle are sebaceous glands, which are tiny sebum-producing glands in almost all skin except on the palms, lips and soles of the feet. The thicker the hair, the more the number of sebaceous glands there are. Also attached to the follicle is a tiny bundle of muscle fiber, called the arrector pili, which is responsible for causing the follicle lissis to become more perpendicular (upright) to the surface of the skin. The muscle area can also cause the follicle to stick up slightly above the nearby skin (piloerection) with a pore incased with skin oil. This process results in goose bumps (or goose flesh). Stem cells are at the junction of the arrector and the follicle, and are principally responsible for the ongoing hair production during a process known as the Anagen stage.
