Chest pain, akathisia, trembling, headache, overwhelming tension and agitation. Mirtazapine did not help. More than a year of misery....
Sorry to hear that, anxiety could be overwhelming at certain times. Just hang in there..
Why didn't you consult your doctor? a year is a long time to wait.
Have you come off mirtazapine now?
I have been to the doctor numerous times. Was put on mirtazapine....Which did not help. Overwhelming is a good description.
After a year on the drug and with no clinical benefit you must consult your doctor and probably switch to another class gradually. Your doctor should have ruled out heart problems and certain endocrine disorders, if not, ask for for it.
Get this under control asap. You will eventually feal better once you found the right combination
Maybe a change of medication is needed. Have you tried anything else?
Have you considered therapy as an option? It can and often is just as or more effective than medication, certainly in the longer term?
Yes.
Not yet.
Waiting to start...
You've done so well coming off it. Your doctor would probably try you on something else to help with the depression.
Throwing endless sets of medication at a long term problem is the sign of a bad doctor. Therapy I think should always be part of treatment. Sometimes the largest part
Now you've done the hard work with coming off mirtz you can now try something different. I'm sure the next AD will work but if it doesn't please don't leave it as long as you've done with mirtz. You shouldn't have to suffer so long.
Then I'm sure it will bring u better results than any medication. With the benefit of no side effects!
Let therapy be the next thing you try,the answer isn't always in a pill bottle unfortunately
What are you anxious about? Can you pinpoint this? Have you seen a doctor to make sure it's nothiing physical? Sometimes medicine makes things worse. Your body will let you know that.
It is all since my mum died. Had loads of tests but nothing showing up. Medicine definitely made me worse.
Mayabe seeing a therapist who recommends natural supplements to relax you will help. I take Gaba 750mg and L-Theanine 100mg at night. It kicks in after several nights of consuming. Sorry about your mum. She would want you to go forward I'm sure. Try not to concentrate on that which you can do nothing about. Remember the times that made you smile/laugh. Really sorry for your misery, but it doesn't have to last. Praying for you.
