I have been experiencing nausea and vomiting for a couple of months. I feel low level nausea all the time and have been experiencing about once a week 12-24 hours of severe nausea-un controllable by nausea meds followed by a lot of vomiting. I have been experiencing right side pain that radiates to the back which is getting worse the last 24 hours. I do not have a gallbladder but my doc thinks I could have some type of obstruction my lipase is elevated and so is my alkaline phosp.
Any ideas or thoughts would help.
Yes you might have a stone stuck in your bile ducts. I had surgery gallbladder removed. 4 months later got really sick. Off to the ER They did a c.t scan and found a stone stuck in the common bile duct. So I was going in for another surgery to remove stone. I had an ERCP done on me to remove stone. About 3 to 4 months I recovered. Now I'm pain free and eating again. I think you have an obstruction. Hey Good Luck. Bye.
I’m actually seeing my GI today for something similar. Had gb our last November and appendix out last January. Constant probs with diarrhea but nothing major until this summer. About a month ago I had (out of nowhere) such extreme bloating/gas. Had endoscopy/colonoscopy only showed acid reflux. Last Friday I went to ER with the most extreme pain I’ve ever had. The ER didn’t do an ultrasound or CT but said maybe I had a stone in the duct. Other things I’ve researched are sphincter of Oddi dysfunction, sludge in the duct. I’m at such a loss. I thought the pain was supposed to stop! I’m telling my dr I want every test available...I need to figure out what is causing the pain.
How did your doctor appt go? I had an ultrasound done and got the results today. Mentioning the liver being normal. I am frustrated pain is worse feels like a cramping and occasional sharp pain.
